Darn Cute~~

This little one of ours is already 6++ months old.
Only one word to describe,
She's Darn Cute!!

Friendships are like parallel lines, they never meet but will stay with each other till the end.

Lovers are like intersecting lines, they meet once and then drifts apart forever. 

Sometimes, I wished we were like parallel lines instead. At least I can stay with you till the end and not lose you forever!

To me, you weren't burdensome at all. Dating you was the best thing in my life!

My long delayed post on Tokyo 2014

After much procrastination did i realized that is has already been a month since i went to Tokyo  =P
It was my second trip there and it came as a surprise for me as i only found out i had to fly to Tokyo 6 days before. Plus, i had to fly on 29 Apr 2014, partly a present for me hahaaa.

Well this time i had to go alone which was rather boring as i had no one to talked during the trip but things was not as bad i've expected. Had the chance to see flowers lining their streets since it was spring in Tokyo and i just miss out on seeing cherry blossom.

Managed to get my hands on my favourite 100yen tuna mayo onigiri and tried a few of their beers.

Was also grateful for Dr Ijima who treated me to a Yakiniku dinner at Gyu-Kaku, a Japanese styled Korean BBQ. Since it was a Eat-All-You-Can dinner, we almost had a heart attack from all meat overload.

Somehow, as i wanted to make things a little more meaningful, i searched high and low trying to recall the location of a street which i took a picture of in 2012. After much walking, i found it. It was actually at Marunouchi, next to Tokyo Station.

As a souvenir for me like it was in 2012, i was awaken by an earthquake at 5.30am, 5 hours before i was to leave Japan. Dr Ijima told me that earthquake this size only happens in Tokyo once every 6 months. Am i really that lucky?? Anyway, thank you Tokyo for the unforgettable experience.

Had quite a productive day today. Didn't know I can do so many things in a day.

Started off with our annual grave cleaning day during Easter. Regret getting there so late as it was really really very hot today. Sun has already reached skin burning level at 10.30am!

Then, went on to Aeon to get supplies to cook my pork burger dinner feast. Once that was done, headed home to start preparing stuffs for my RCC Orange Butter Cake. RCC = Rice Cooker Cake which basically uses conventional rice cooker to cook the cake, unlike the usual way of having to bake the cake using an oven. There are many RCC recipes online but decided to try this since it's one of the easiest. But i did some minor modifications to the recipe to suit the size of my cooker. It's basically the few items below, 15 mins to prepare and an hour to cook. Simple and easy way to save money and eat healthy home-made cake.

100g Self-raising flour
  70g Fine sugar
  60g Non-salted butter
      2 Eggs
      4 Tbsp squeeze orange juice
      1 Tbsp orange peel
      A pinch of salt

After that, had to prepare pork patties with minced pork from scratch, seasoned with soy sauce, sesame oil, pepper and garlic. Grilled on pan with slight seasoning of soy sauce and cooked till golden brown. Served on butter toasted bun with a specific order; Top bun, Mayo, Egg, Lettuce, Ketchup, Patty, Onion, Bottom bun. Gotta blame the grill i used to work at in the US as they insist we got to follow a specific layout for each type of burger. 

Quite alot of things huh??

On a side note, felt so awkward when my mum tried to match-make me with someone. Thank God the actual person wasn't there if not it would have been a 100 times worse!!

Forgiveness

I know it's Good Friday today and since God has forgiven us, we too must forgive others. But after what happened, I find it very hard to forgive him now. I kept telling myself today "Sorry God, i know i must but i just don't know how."

Dad bought back a packet of glutinous rice from Cambodia so mum and I decided we should try out and cook Stir-fried Glutinous Rice 生炒糯米飯. Well it wasn't really that bad for a first try but as always, there is always room for improvement when it comes to cooking.
